Ranch Horse

Boxing, down fence, minimum of 1 turn each way, rate & roped. Horses can be ridden in Snaffle, Hackamore, Two-rein or Bridle (bit appropriate to horse’s age). Horse papers need to be sent in for snaffle bit horses.

General Rules

Lame horses will be disqualified at judge’s discretion. All judge decisions are final. DQ’s will not be refunded. Equipment checks will be done at the end of all runs. No rubber or cotton on horns.

Stallions must be ridden by contestant 18 years & older. Stallions will not be allowed in Youth class. Rider’s age is as of January 1, 2023.

All tack and equipment to be approved by NRCHA guidelines. See rulebook above.

Unruly horses or riders will be asked to leave premises. No refunds after June 18 without vet release.
